The inside and off-white parts are made with 100% vegetable tanned material by a tanner in the Tatsuno area of Himeji. It is a tanned leather made with special care. As the mixture ages, it will begin to turn amber in color.

After dyeing the leather with ink, oil is soaked in it and the color is fixed. However, if it gets wet, it may leave a mark and the color may transfer due to friction. Please be aware of this.
