Original fountain pen "KATANA Silver"

In order to create a masterpiece that stands out when placed in a breast pocket, we decided to manufacture fountain pens in Gunma, a place where precision craftsmen are concentrated. Gunma is also a pen-producing region, with many factories of famous writing instrument manufacturers. We will continue to work with these craftsmen to create pens that will captivate writing instrument fans around the world.

Founded in Tokyo in 1928 as a precious metals factory, the company later moved its base to Tomioka, Gunma Prefecture, where it now makes use of its advanced processing technology to produce a wide range of pens that have earned the trust of famous writing instrument manufacturers both in Japan and overseas.

After studying architecture at university, he studied design in Denmark. After working for a design company and a furniture manufacturer, he is now active in product design. He supports manufacturing from a design perspective in his hometown of Yamagata Prefecture.

In Japan, katana are once weapons, works of art, and items of great spiritual and cultural significance. Mitasanshodo pays homage to this Japanese tradition with a subtly designed pen clip. The glint of a Katana from a shirt pocket is sure to catch many a discerning eye, and our carefully crafted nibs write with razor-sharp precision and smoothness. Be aware that Japanese nibs run on the finer side for crisp, delicate lines suited to writing complicated Japanese characters or those with smaller handwriting. Produced in a limited run of 100, each pen is engraved with its unique production number.
