All of the wood used in our olive wood barrel mechanical pencils is olive grown in Tatebayashi City, Gunma Prefecture.
Tatebayashi is a place characterized by strong sunlight and long hours of daylight.
Wood was cut from this large tree that had grown in plenty of sunlight and used as the material for mechanical pencils.
The finishing is based on the idea of "preserving the natural texture of the wood," and the wood is carefully finished with a solid wood finish, and then a thin layer of natural coating derived from rice is applied.
The wood is kept in a breathable state, and the more you use it, the more the luster slowly develops, and the finish becomes more comfortable in your hand.
Every time you pick it up, you'll be reminded of the air and sunshine of Tatebayashi. Enjoy the story behind it.
